Our PRIMARY school curriculum is thoughtfully designed to include subjects such as Science, Math, English, History, Geography, PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education), and ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
In addition to our core subjects, we offer a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom. Students have the opportunity to explore their talents in sports, music, and art, fostering a holistic approach to their development.
At Kiddies Garden, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also thrive in various aspects of life, preparing them for a future of limitless possibilities.

Grade 1

Beginning the Key stage 1 curriculum at Kiddies Garden, Grade 1 introduces foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, science, history, geography, and ICT. Through interactive learning experiences, children develop a robust academic foundation. Regular communication ensures parents are kept informed about their child's progress in this well-rounded introduction to primary education.

Grade 2

Grade 2 within the Key stage 1 curriculum delves deeper into English, mathematics, science, history, geography, and ICT. Parents can anticipate a nuanced approach to these subjects, fostering critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. The curriculum aims to build a comprehensive skill set while maintaining an engaging and interactive learning environment across various disciplines.

Grade 3

Advancing within the Key stage 1 curriculum, Grade 3 presents a more advanced approach to literacy, numeracy, science, history, geography, and ICT. Reading comprehension and writing skills in English become more sophisticated, mathematical concepts deepen, and science and social studies expand to encompass a diverse range of topics. This includes a more detailed exploration of history and geography, promoting a well-rounded understanding of the world.

Grade 4

Grade 4 within the Key stage 2 curriculum builds upon foundational knowledge in English, mathematics, science, history, geography, and ICT. The focus on literary analysis, effective communication, and advanced mathematical concepts continues. Students are encouraged to embrace independent learning, taking on more responsibility for their academic progress across a spectrum of subjects.

Grade 5

In Grade 5 of the Key stage 2 curriculum, the scope broadens to include sophisticated literature, advanced mathematical concepts, and interdisciplinary knowledge in science, history, geography, and ICT. This stage marks increasing maturity and academic autonomy, encouraging students to make connections across subjects while preparing for the challenges of higher education.

Grade 6

The final year of the Key stage curriculum, Grade 6, prepares students for the transition to middle school with a focus on advanced concepts in English, mathematics, science, history, geography, and ICT. Critical thinking skills are honed, and students engage in comprehensive projects that integrate knowledge from various disciplines. Parents can expect thorough support as their child completes this critical stage and moves on to new academic horizons.

Jolly Phonics

At Kiddies Garden, we are dedicated to laying a strong foundation for literacy, and we are proud to implement the Jolly Phonics scheme of reading. This proven and engaging approach focuses on the systematic teaching of letter sounds, blending, and segmenting, providing our young learners with a solid grasp of phonics. By incorporating Jolly Phonics into our curriculum, we create an enjoyable and interactive learning experience that empowers students to become confident readers and writers. This phonics scheme not only enhances early literacy skills but also instils a lifelong love for reading and language exploration in our students.
